How much do Auto Transport Companies Charge?
Auto transport is charged on the basis of factors such as size, weight, distance, condition, but most of all it depends on the current market. Cars move on a network like any other, depending on the season rates per mile vary. How much a transport company charges you is directly tied to how quickly and sometimes whether or not your car moves at all. At Complete Auto Transport we follow the market closely, at all times we will price your car to move for the lowest possible rate in the current market.
Size and weight of vehicle
This is literally the length, height, and width dimensions and how much it weighs. Once we know how big a car is, we can then decide what equipment is needed to ship your car.
The transport type
Cars can be transported by either an open car carrier (exposed to the elements) or a fully enclosed car carrier for added protection on high value or pristine vehicles. The costs of these vary accordingly depending on equipment availability.
The car condition
Whether or not a car runs is a major factor in how you load it onto a truck. We need to know if it runs, has keys, and the general overall condition of the vehicle. This again determines the type of equipment needed.
The shipping distance
We use the point A to point B mileage calculated by the rate per mile decided by all of the other factors in this list. And that is how you arrive at the costs to ship a car.
