Is my vehicle insured during transport?

Absolutely. From the time your vehicle is loaded on the truck, until you sign off on delivery, the vehicle is fully insured.

When will my vehicle be picked up?

Complete Auto Transport believes in the “first truck out of town” philosophy. What that means to the consumer is that your vehicle will be dispatched and loaded quickly and efficiently.

How do I get a quote for shipping my vehicle?

Getting a quote is easy! Either enter your information on the home page or click on any of the “get a quote” buttons you’ll find throughout the webpages. You can also call, email, or chat with us anytime to get a quote for your move.

Is your service door to door?

Yes. In most cases your vehicle will be loaded and delivered to your doorstep. In rare cases where an Auto Transport truck is restricted from entering a residential or other area due to size or other factors, your driver will plan directly with you for loading or delivery.

How far in advance should I schedule my transport?

The simple answer here is as far as possible. You can of course order transport right up until the day you need to move a car, but keep in mind, the dispatch process takes time. Transport trucks do not move like packages and the more time you can give dispatch to schedule and load your car the better.

When is payment required?

Complete Auto Transport will NEVER request payment prior to moving your car. For one time and individual customers your payment is due once your car is loaded and on the way to its destination. We also offer various payment terms for commercial, repeat, and ongoing customers.

Can I pack personal belongings in my vehicle for transport?

Not generally. Cars are moved based on weight, and drivers are not liable for personal belongings left in the car. While exceptions can be made for small light items out of plain view, it is not recommended that you place anything in your car prior to shipping it. If you choose to do so it is at your own risk.

What is the bill of lading and what exactly does it have to do with my shipment?

The Bill of Lading or BOL is the chain of possession document for your car. This form includes the condition of your vehicle upon loading, which you will then sign off on. When your car arrives at its destination you will again inspect your car and sign off on the BOL releasing the truck from any further responsibility. Once your vehicle is in the possession of the carrier and until it is signed for by you, your car is covered and insured against transport damage.

Can I ship my vehicle if it isn’t running?

Yes. Non-running cars require special equipment to move them. We have just about any type of equipment needed to move any condition of vehicle. It is important that you let us know if your car isn’t running so we can send the right truck to load it.

What is the difference between open and enclosed transport?

Most vehicles move on an open (exposed to the elements) truck. Enclosed trailers are available for high dollar vehicles or vehicles that require white glove treatment. The difference in cost depends on the route and availability but you can expect to pay about 1.5 times the cost of open transport. In some rare instances due to ground clearance or the value of the car, enclosed may be the only option.

Does someone have to be present for pick-up and delivery of a vehicle?

Yes. The driver will conduct an inspection upon loading and delivery, and someone must be there to sign off on that condition. If you are personally unavailable, you can have a neighbor, relative, friend or other representative present for loading or delivery. As long as someone is available, we can work with you.

Can I ship a vehicle with low ground clearance?

In most cases yes. Vehicles with low ground clearance may or may not be able to load on an open car carrier due to the ramps used on these types of trucks. In the event that car is too low to clear the ramps, your car can be transported on an enclosed trailer which generally uses a lift gate mechanism to load.
